Komo 6 & 7 Reunion!!

*Agenda: Dinner with families on Sunday night and super fun activities with us on Monday! Plan to arrive around 5 Sunday and leave late afternoon on Monday!

*Help: We do not have a place to sleep right now. If you have any suggestions (a condo of your families or anywhere we could just throw our sleeping bags down) please let us know!

Hey there you lovely Komos!

I hope everyone is having an AWESOME summer so far! I just thought I'd say hello form KENYA, where I'm living this whole summer!

That's right, I'm living in Africa this summer. I am learning so much about God and about how much He loves everyone in the WHOLE WORLD! It's so crazy how great God is! The only sad part is that I won't get to see any of your shining faces this summer at K7. I will REALLY miss you all!
But I'd love to know.. who is going back to kamp this summer?!

I want to share a quick devo with you all today about something that God is teaching me this summer. It's all about FAITH!

Romans 10:17 says,  "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ."

FAITH coms from HEARING. What does that mean? Well, it means that when we HEAR the message (when we READ the bible), we increase our FAITH!

How does that happen, you ask? Well, think about it this way: if you are reading God's word each day, you will begin to better understand who God is. You'll learn so much about Him! Then, when you face a problem in your life, you won't feel hopeless. Instead, you'll remember what the BIBLE says about God! You'll remember that God is good, He is faithful, He will provide for your needs, and He will protect you. Then, you won't feel sad- you'll believe in your heart that God loves you and will take care of you in your situation! Just by hearing God's word (the Bible), you'll have MORE FAITH!

Isn't that awesome?! So, I challenge you girls to increase your faith starting today! Get out those Bibles and read a passage, looking for facts about who God is. Then next time you face a hard situation, you'll have BIGGER FAITH to get through it!

What time is it?!

4:29!! Okay...really it's 10:12 p.m. but remember at kamp when we would say it was 4:29? That was a reference to Ephesians 4:29. Do you have the verse memorized? If not, it would be a great one to hide in your heart! It says: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up, according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen!" I typed that out remember the rap we made up during one term last summer! I'll post a video of it :). SO sorry we have not been very faithful to update this. We just don't think many people are looking at it. Let us know if you would enjoy us being more faithful in posting, even if it's just for one of you, we would love to keep it up just for you! We just love you girls so much! Let your words be wholesome, used to build others up, not tear them down!

I woke up this morning so SO happy that we get a fresh start. A new year! Happy New Year!

One of my resolutions is to read through the Bible this year using the app called BiOY (Bible in one year!)
